Her talent and achievements on the court were so impressive that in 2015, Kerri was inducted into the Western Washington University Athletics Hall of Fame.

“I loved playing basketball in college. It taught me so much about discipline, teamwork and pushing yourself to be your best,” Kerri said at her Hall of Fame induction ceremony.

Becoming a High School Teacher

After graduating from WWU, Kerri decided to become a high school teacher. She has thrived in her career educating and working with teenagers for over two decades now. Even with a celebrity husband, Kerri prefers to live a quiet, private life focused on her family and career.

Staying Out of the Spotlight

“I’m just a regular person who feels blessed to have a wonderful family,” Kerri explained. “I don’t need or want the spotlight.”

While Jim Caviezel became an acclaimed actor known for roles in films like “The Passion of the Christ,” “The Thin Red Line” and “The Count of Monte Cristo,” Kerri has always remained firmly rooted in her own low-key interests and priorities.

Jim frequently praises his wife’s calm, grounded nature and credits her for providing a stable home life for their family. Despite Jim’s fame, the couple has maintained a strong, lasting marriage for over 25 years.
